Tropical disturbance in western Caribbean
Posted by Hurricane Guy on June 27, 2009
After a break for a while, unsettled weather has returned to the western Caibbean. This is not that unusual though for this time of year. The eastern Pacific monsoon trough sometimes lifts into the region causing an increase in showers and storms – and occasionally a tropical cyclone.
Right now the disturbed weather is not organized, but computer models do generate a low drifting into the southern Gulf of Mexico by Sunday. Nothing to worry about, but it would be a good idea to keep your eye on it if your traveling to southwest Florida….showers and storms will likely increase into early next week.
